Anacapa Island Channel Islands National Park Whale Watching Traffic Jam
by Frank UrsittiOn todays Whale Watching trip, Captain Frank was being given that look from his first mate,Lieu....
you know what look I'm talking about, when a Cheeseburger, a Hot Dog or a Ham Sandwich just doesn't get it....
Capt. Frank has been down this road before...very little will keep Lieu a happy sailor, all the Whales, Dolphins and Seals in the ocean are of little interest to Lieu,he has only one thing on his mind and he needs it right away...thats right, courage in a bottle, and it starts with a capital "J"....
after 20 minutes of alone time with Lieu's best friend,Mr.Jameson the singing, or howling I should say commenced, treating the Ranger 85 Captain, crew and its passengers to an amazing rendition of Dean Martin's " Thats Amore"..its already 5pm and .my ears are still hurting.........Thanks Lieu
There was a sig alert today at the east end of Anacapa Island inside Channel Islands National Park and National Marine Sanctuary involving 7 Gray whales and several Common Dolphin.
Traffic was backed up for quite awhile until the jam moved east into deeper water and then continued south. Just another Southern California whale watching moment...
Enjoy today’s images and we look forward to seeing you onboard.
