Surfacing over the horizon from the depths of the Pacific Ocean, California's Channel Islands offers an extraordinary gateway to the past, spanning more than 12,000 years of human history. The Channel Islands have attracted many explorers, scientists and historians during the past few centuries. Today’s visitors can experience The Channel Islands and National Marine Sanctuary by experiencing a breathtaking Seafari Tour!
Join Channel Islands Whale Watching on a voyage of discovery throughout the waters of Channel Islands National Park and National Marine Sanctuary off the beautiful Southern California coast. Our SeaFari Tour goes beyond any everyday whale watching tour. Your 4-hour naturalist lead expedition will take you on a breathtaking non-landing tour of the rugged North Shore of Anacapa Island. With majestic towering cliffs and archways surrounded by the sparkling blue waters of the majestic Pacific Ocean, The Channel Islands and National Marine Sanctuary is a premier global destination for marine wildlife sightings. Marvel at rare and endangered species, some which are indigenous to Channel Islands National Park and National Marine Sanctuary.
On any given trip we have the opportunity to encounter many different types of whales, like Blue, Humpback, Pilot, and Orca Whales! See playful dolphins, seals and sea lions and a variety of bird life including the Brown Pelican, which uses the Channel Islands National Park as their primary resting place. You may even encounter the scariest of all predators, the Great White shark! Experiencing wildlife in their natural setting is a thrill for children and adults of all ages.
Since 1970 Channel Island Whale Watching runs the largest Eco Tourism Vessel in the Channel Islands. Our 85-foot vessel offers all the comforts of home without taking away the raw experience of being submerged in the realm of wild sea life. Our crew of naturalist have years of experience identifying wildlife within the park. Fully narrated and fun for the entire family, a SEAFARI TOUR to the Channel Islands is a great way to spend a few hours on the water discovering what is considered the “Crown Jewel” of our National Park System.
